Welcome to my page on Honda Benlys. I wrote it with three things in mind.
first
I wished to help others learn more about the Honda Benly range of
bikes, such as the Benly C92 and Benly CA92 both 125cc machines, as
well as the Benly C95 and Benly CA95 both with the larger 150cc motor.
As there is still alot about these bikes I don't know, I hope that in
the process I may learn more about them, from some of you out there.
Second was to help both others
and my self to find parts and info. To this end I have placed a noticeboard on the
site.
Third was to show people how the restoration of my little C92 Honda
Benly is getting on... |
So what is a Honda Benly..?
The name Benly (meaning convenience in Japanese)
first appeared in 1953 as a 90cc four stroke single with a three speed gear box and the pressed steel frame . |
The Benly and it’s big brother the Dream went though a series of
different engines then in 1958 a new Benly the C92 was released.
This had a twin cylinder single over head cam engine with electric start.
The 125cc bike was capable of 70mph. Then in 1964 came the
C95 version this had 154cc, it being a bigger version of the same engine
found on the earlier C92. |
 |
The bikes for the American market were called CA95 These bikes had some cosmetic differences
but essentiality thay are the same bike.
The Benly name went on being used for a number of years but this page primarily concerned
with the C92 , C95 and the CA95 and there derivatives. |
